Numbers Matching 350/300 hp Engine. Excellent Driver Quality Car. Excellent Candidate for cosmetic restoration. Highly Optioned: Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Vacuum Power Brakes, Tilt and Telescopic Steering Column, Deluxe Wheel Trim Covers, Front Fender Louver Ornamentation, Turbo Hydra-Matic Transmission. Numbers and codes: Engine stamp numbers: V0320HZ 19s722601. Trim 407(Red Vinyl) 974(Monza Red). K20 (Built June 20, 1969). The mileage reads 44,715...I don't believe the odometer works. Here is what I know about the car: We purchased this Vette here in Michigan. It appears this car has never seen salt its entire life. The underside is extremely straight. The body is also very straight. All the body lines look good and the panels line up very nicely. It appears it hasn't been in an accident but we cannot offer a guarantee. It definitely needs a paint job and some other cosmetic help. The paint is cracking or fading all over this car. It looks ok from15 feet and could definitely be driven as-is but a paint job would really help this car. The chrome appears to be original and is in good shape. The engine compartment has had some minor changes but for the most part is all original, most importantly the engine block is original for this very car. The heads appear to be original but we have not removed the valve covers to verify. The air cleaner is wrong as well as the distributor and carburetor. According to the previous owner the engine was completely rebuilt 4 years ago. This car runs and drives very well. We have not completely serviced this car so I am not certain the condition of the brakes, bushings, front end parts, etc. We did get the original A/C pump to kick on but it did not blow cold air. The headlights work but very slowly(vacuum leak?) The wipers do not currently work. The fiber optics do not work. We also couldn't get the heater fan to function. The clock does not function either. The frame appears to be in great condition and very solid in the normal problem areas. Besides a little surface rust it's in excellent condition. The interior is very nice but needs a little help. The carpet appears to be original and is quite faded. The seats are now leather and in great shape. The code calls for vinyl seats and they appear to be leather replacements. The door panels look new and the dash is in nice condition. Overall this car is extremely straight and since it's highly optioned and mostly original the possibilities are endless when it comes to the type of restoration you could do. Colors from the trim plate. Built date is K20. 44,715 miles from the odometer. January 10, 2010. |
